I really like it but $40/year?!
In fact so good that I for once decide to give it a rate - unsolicited...
I got tired of copying my email "tasks" into my task lists, so as you can expect AIB has been a life saver. Not only is the product great, but the customer service and responsiveness to user feedback is fabulous. Can't wait to see the mobile version...
Very capable tool which simplifies email management considerably. For 5 stars, I'd like to see a sleeker UI and slightly faster page rendering; and an Android application would be fantastic.
Super product, and ActiveInbox has incredible customer support. They are very responsive, often returning responses well after normal business hours. I use this now for both work and personal email/task management. Highly recommended!
I am a customer-facing employee that works with customers to ensure their success with our product. I use ActiveInbox, along with Salesforce, to schedule my follow-ups with customers with ease. I am able to track my next steps and due dates in our CRM, but I was constantly either losing the existing email conversation chain or having an inbox full of messages that I needed to follow-up on. With Active Inbox, I can set the follow-up date on the message directly and it will show up in my Today Radar panel on the day it is due, making my follow-ups easier to handle. I also use ActiveInbox to remind myself to check back with a customer if they have not replied. Every time i send an email to a customer where I am awaiting a reply, I make sure to flag it as Waiting On and set the date for 2-7 days out to make sure I remember to check in with them again. I also use the "Search for Waiting On Items you may have missed" functionality to periodically check anything I may have missed. Before ActiveInbox, I would often forget that I was waiting for a customer to respond and would end up following-up much later than I wanted to. With both of these methods, I utilize the action items and notes sections to make sure I can quickly tell what needs to be done with that email when it shows back up in my Radar. This way, instead of having to read through the entire email thread each time I need to handle it, I can tell at a glance what my next steps are. I also leverage the Projects functionality to keep track of multiple emails tied to various customer-focused projects I am involved with internally. I think of this as Gmail's labels on steroids. This allows me to easily see all communication around a project and what my next steps are. Lastly, I deployed the "Some Day" functionality to flag all emails that contain something I want to get to eventually, but are not pressing and I don't have the time to do today. My Tips Definitely take advantage of the notes and action list on emails. It really saves time to condense the important info from the email thread. Flag emails as they come in to make your life easier. Set due dates for everything! No task left behind.
If you are serious user of gmail, as an important email account with a medium to high use of email flow, Active Inbox is an excellent addition for you. Leaning on the Getting Things Done methodology, knowledge of it is not a prerequisite to enjoy the benefits this tool brings to your email workflow.
Perfect. This helps make gmail much more useful. Instead of just communication, it adds task management functionality that really steps up the usefulness of gmail. I signed up for a lifetime membership, and it's been well worth it.
Helps to alleviate the stress that comes from a full inbox. With AI, I keep track of my email tasks and stay on top of what I need to do - and what I'm waiting on others to do. I'm able to clear out my inbox every day - so I start each morning with a clean slate.
