WebScrapBook is a browser extension that captures the web page faithfully with various archive formats and customizable configurations, for future retrieval, organization, annotation, and editing. This project inherits from legacy Firefox add-on ScrapBook X.
Features:
1. Capture faithfully: A web page shown in the browser can be captured without losing any subtle detail. Metadata such as source URL and timestamp are also recorded.
2. Customizable capture: WebScrapBook can save selected area in a page, save source page (before processed by scripts), or save page as a bookmark. How to capture images, audio, video, fonts, frames, styles, scripts, etc. are also customizable. A web page can be saved as a folder, a ZIP-based archive file (HTZ or MAFF), or a single HTML file.
3. Page editing: A web page can be highlighted, annotated, or edited before or after a capture.
4. Organizable collections: Captured pages can be organized in the browser sidebar using one or more scrapbooks, and each scrapbooks holds a hierarchical tree structure to organize data items. Notes using HTML or markdown format can also be created and managed. (*)

How can I embed WebScrapBook in the sidebar so that there is a table of contents of all saved resources, as in your 3 and 4 screenshots? If you use the command of the context menu of the WebScrapBook icon - "Open in the sidebar", then the WebScrapBook from the sidebar becomes inactive. * Why can't it be made easier without any server? Please make it possible in the settings to specify the path to the folder where the saved web pages are located in order to open them from the sidebar.
Ребят, вы в курсе что ваше расширение давно не работает из за старого Manifest 2, и теперь его никакими окольными путями не включить? Как будто на расширение забили
回覆樓下: 看起來這個擴充被 chrome 禁用了， 可能要看作者之後會不會更新了， 如果急著用的話，作者也有做Edge瀏覽器的版本， 可以去Edge的外掛程式商店下載來用。
Супер расширение, жаль что больше не работает( Danny Lin, оно будет еще работать в Хроме?
03.03.2025 The best offline website saver I know. Just configure it and it saves everything or whatever is requested while browsing the browser. Unfortunately, Scrapbook stopped working for me today because of the Chrome browser, so I'm thinking about replacing Chrome with another browser, because Scrapbook is more valuable to me than anyone from Google might think with their obsolescence. I managed to migrate from Firefox to Chrome, going back probably won't be a problem Is there another solution? Thank you very much for the extension, Master of Development.
Отличное расширение с множеством настроек. Сохраняет полные копии страниц, которые невозможно сохранить средствами браузера. Можно сохранять сразу несколько вкладок, менять формат сохранения и имена.
