This free add-on for Google Chrome loads all videos from YouTube Shorts in the normal YouTube player for a better user experience.
The simple browser extension allows you to rewind videos and view the YouTube Shorts like they were normal YouTube videos. This Chrome extension also lets you block the AI dubbing on YouTube Shorts. It's very simple and there aren't any distracting features -- it just does one thing: lets you watch YouTube Shorts in the normal video player.
Give it a try!
To manually view a YouTube Short in the regular YouTube player, take the video ID and change the URL from a path like `/shorts/1234` to a path like `/watch?v=1234`. This extension does the URL redirect for you automatically so you don't have to think about it.

Works as expected. Finally I can use all keyboard shortcuts when viewing YouTube Shorts.
Works As intended on desktop, but doesn't work on android with Lemur Browser 🥲
Amazing. The YouTube shorts UI is the most horrible thing ever. I love that this exists.
it takes like half a second to redirect but that's a fair bit faster than i can manually change the url. pressing the back button also takes you back to the page you clicked on the short instead of the shorts player too. works well overall

10/10!!! you saved me from The stupid AI that keeps translating some videos in wrong language for no reason and there was no option until now to hear the original audio at all!!! Thank you so much!! You guys can now just press shorts and the videos will change instead of scrolling
Works as intended. This currently is the only way to change the language on the youtube shorts. The forced dubbing is the worst.
