If you are frustrated of scrolling up and down while composing your email replies in Gmail, THIS IS THE EXTENSION YOU NEED!
This will move the reply/compose box from the bottom of the page to the top of the page. You can now see the latest email in the thread as you type, without have to scroll up and down. This is especially loved by Outlook users who are used to the reverse chronological view.
I developed this after I could not find any solution. After using it for a while, I have noticed a significant boost in email productivity ... no more scrolling for those long conversation threads!
NOTE: Refresh/reopen the Gmail tab for the extension to start working.

I was very excited to try this extension but it seems to not work with the new Gmail interface (according to other reviews and my own experience). Please update the extension so that it'll work with all Gmail interfaces!
My replies remain at the bottom.
Why gmail does not do this as standard is crazy but this little add in does the trick nicely so i can now reference what i am replying to. Thanks

At last. Why Google itself does not have it as a standard option is beyond me. Judging from other comments there are many users who would like the feature.
Worked for about a day and then disappeared. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still didnt get it to work. I wonder if it only works with certain versions of Chrome. UPDATE: I have drastically changed my rating from hate it to liked it. This feature only works if you have Preview Pane enables from within the email settings(Settings > Labs > Preview Pane) As a result, the reply has been at the top EVERY time.
Worked once upon installation, hasn't worked since. Which is a shame, because it's a feature I'd really like.

Undoubtedly, I find this tool invaluable and love using it, but why does it need our permission to READ BROWSING HISTORY?? This is a free tool so is this the price we have to cope with?
