As someone else noted, this extension was very helpful when it did work, but now it doesn't.
Doesn't work anymore, just says "Report failed!" Update one and a half months later: Starting working again, then suddenly it's back to saying "Report failed!" when I try to report a researcher. This extension is great and immensely helpful, but the functionality to actually submit your own reports is bugged and unreliable.
I've only been using this extension for 3 weeks and it has helped me immensely. The information provided by participants for certain researchers is priceless. It has certainly helped me avoid questionable researchers.
This tool is important for helping us weed out bad researchers with unfair practices.
May 26/25 - Back again and in time for some reports, thanks! May 01/25 - Depending on how you look at it, it hasn't functioned properly for a couple of months now. All of the reviews were wiped and nothing new has been added. Dec 05/24 - Definitely been useful for a few projects now. Being a bit of a new user on CR it's helped give a bit of insight into some projects and researchers. Hopefully it catches on with some more people and gets a lot of the bad actors out. In all fairness it would be nice to see some positives about the researcher too as it feels a bit biased, but that is what the tool is originally meant for; letting people know about the negative researchers. That's just my opinion though. It's been a plus for me
This plugin helps me decided if I will take a study, especially if it is from a newer researcher. I enjoy taking the studies and providing that data for research. Unfortunately, some researchers way underestimate the time a study will take, provide broken studies, or reject studies for inappropriate reasons.
They will remove your reviews if they don't like what was posted. Reviews feels manipulated to only see the negatives. Overview says, " Community Insights: Access shared experiences from other participants. " I posted my review sharing my experiences with a particular researcher and it got removed. I wanted people to have balanced review, positives and negatives and make your own judgements. Just like how TO and TV reviews are. You may see negatives mixed in with positives and decide. It isn't fair to post all negatives without knowing the positives. Why bring down a researcher with all negatives when many people have had no issues with them and we should know about it. With only 179 installs (or users) there is not many reviews there. EDIT: I cannot believe Kuru thinks I'm a researcher. Never have been. I am not. I just thought it was fair to post both positive and negative reviews but now I see Kuru says it's only for reviewing bad researchers. I did not realize that and will only do that then. Thanks for your reply Kuru.
