This extension allows to find and delete duplicate bookmarks, empty folders, merge folders with the same name (within the same path), find no longer working and expired bookmarks and remove them easily.
Permissions explained:
1. Read and change your bookmarks(required on install) - required for core functions to work
2. Read and change all your data on the websites you visit(optional, not asked until you use Broken URLs checker) – to check if bookmarked page loads and doesn't return any error.

Flat out perfect! I seriously started stressing out over trying to get rid of the dozens of duplicated bookmarks that suddenly started finding. It would have been one thing if they were in order, but being randomly sorted was proving to be super difficult to clean up. after adding this to chrome, about 5 minutes later, everything is perfect. honestly this is a no brainer! just try it!
Works very well, once you realise to first click the ‘Find duplicated bookmarks’ or ‘Merge duplicated folders’, and not ‘Remove empty folders’. Clicking the latter first on the first run caused the browser to hang up for a long time, but otherwise this extension works so well that I give five stars still. I have lots of bookmarks – around 20 thousand... The selection UI for duplicate bookmarks could be improved by allowing the user to select all duplicates found in certain folder in addition to selecting all duplicates in the same folder. Oh, the eye icons already do that! This could be more obvious. The wording of the UI buttons could be more clear. For example, what does ‘Select in same folder’ mean?
