I've been using this non-stop for three weeks, tracking over 100 job applications. I've only used the free version and it has been more than adequate. Best features: - Auto-recognizes biggest job-seeking websites when you have a job pulled up (works best with Indeed and LinkedIn), so it can pull the title, company, description, and find the salary range (in most cases). You can also give it a star rating to remind yourself how exciting a job posting is, but I don't use this because if I'm bookmarking it, I'm interested by default and it's a very short step from bookmarking to applying. - Saving job descriptions and allowing you to edit (add info, bold sections, etc.) is extremely important-- if you applied to a job a month ago and they finally give you a call, you'll need to remember what was in the description so you can ask questions about it; a lot of times, they'll close out the position posting after a few weeks so they aren't buried in applications. If you no longer know what it said, you can't speak to it with any confidence. - You can track your status with the application (bookmarked, applying, applied, interviewing, etc.), store notes and background research you might do for interview prep, etc. - It handily shows you at the top of the tracker how many saved items you have in each category (1 bookmarked, 104 applying, 4 interviewing, etc.) and when you click on the section, you're taken to that category - Resume builder with very handy suggestions (measurable results, formatting each section, etc.)-- the best part is that it copies over very handily elsewhere, so if you have a job that's demanding you upload your resume and then copy out everything in your resume anyway, you can easily do it copying directly from the resume builder (without jeopardizing a Word document with repeated clicking and accidentally messing up formatting, etc.) - You can add company contacts, if you're really interested in a company, and want to keep those stored somewhere (LinkedIn, the phone number they called you from, notes on what you liked about them or the company, etc.) Wish they had: - On Ziprecruiter, the job description detector is 50/50 at best, a lot of times it just isn't able to scrape the information. But on any job site, it only takes 10 seconds or so to copy and paste over the relevant information (job title, company, location, description) - The weird thing is, any manually added description takes an extra step to add the salary range (open the bookmarked job in a new tab, click "add salary range" in the top right-hand corner) - I wish it were easier to bring up the job tracker-- when you click on the tracker icon in Chrome, it defaults to thinking you want to save a job that it doesn't see, and it's an extra step to expand the three-line menu and pull up the job tracker. You can bookmark the site to get around this, but I think it'd be nice to make it easier to pull up. - I wish the job description analysis did better at picking up skills; it seemed a little arbitrary at choosing what to highlight (but the workaround is to just edit the description and read it for yourself to bold, italicize, or underline the words you think are important; or to copy into Chat GPT and ask for the hard skills it found there) - Wish you could add an additional category for workplace details (remote, on-site, hybrid) that was separate to the location (sometimes, the auto-detect picks up a location, but it's just the location of the HQ; other times, they're lying in the description anyway and saying remote but it's hybrid), it's also just a nice stat to see - I wish the salary range was a little more intuitive, you have to set the min/max of the range separately (it doesn't parse it for you) and you also have to tell it hourly/annually, which is a tad annoying - The search function could be better; I'd like to see the ability to search across everywhere (it defaults to whatever category you are in, but I'd like to be able to pull up archived, interviewing, applied, bookmarked, etc.); I'd also like a "clear-all" button to reset everything (it remembers your search if you swap from category to category), also annoying. It also seems to only search through the job position title and company, so you can't actually pull up by assorted skills, which can be nice if you've got different job types that you want to split the difference between (maybe applying to "instructor" and "teacher" and "educator" roles, and want to see those separate to other job role types you may also be applying to). Finally, I wish you could see the number of search results when you do filter them, you can use the checkbox at the top to show how many turned up, but that is an extra step. Overall, I'd say 9/10-- there are some small things I wish could change, but overall, it's way better than what I used to do (use a Google sheet and manually save job descriptions for later review).

I love it but i wish it can extend to more job board website such as jobstreet, jobsdb for asia region. While copy and paste the JD into the extension i hope it can also retain all the paragraphs

I'm obsessed with Teal. They've really thought of everything to make the job application process smooth, intuitive, and easy to manage from a job seeker's perspective. I love being able to save jobs, companies I like, and contacts I may want to contact wherever I may be searching from Chrome.
