At first I was using a google sheet to keep track of the jobs I was applying for but once I found out about Teal and what it could do there was no turning back. It has honestly made a huge difference on how I keep track of potential opportunities and I love the integration it has with LinkedIn. It does have a few kinks that need to be addressed but nothing that kills the experience for me. Defintely recommend to anyone out there on the job search to give this a try!
I compared Huntr and Teal for managing my job search. I find Teal much more fully featured than Huntr, and importantly, gives me many ways to sort and organize my saved jobs, move them along in the process, and handy checklists of things to do. I am the king of job search spreadsheets, and this just goes way beyond anything I could create. In addition, you also get free classes on job hunting and success. The central dashboard is super helpful to see how you're doing on a weekly basis. The integration between Teal and LinkedIn (and other sites) is amazing - It picks up nearly everything about the job or contact and puts it in the correct fields. It is SOOOO easy. And, if you want to remove the (non-obtrusive) ads, pay them a few bucks to help development!
Teal has been the perfect tool for my job search. It's so nice to be able to track the status of job applications, find and reference JDs of jobs that have been taken down, and set reminders to follow-up about preferred roles.
