1. User installs extension and visits Hulu.com while logged in. 2. Content script injects into Hulu page and monitors DOM for ad elements (`.AdUnitView__adBar__timer`). 3. When an ad is detected, the extension reads the ad timer, sets video playback rate to 8x, mutes audio, and shows a 'Skipping Ads' overlay. 4. After the calculated ad duration, playback rate returns to 1x, audio is unmuted, and overlay is removed. 5. Extension also collects anonymous Hulu viewing data (subscription info, watch history, profile data) and sends to external analytics servers (metricsplus.xyz) unless user opts out via options page.
