Relieve eye-strain from the default Google Docs experience with DocsAfterDark. Customize the look of your documents without modifying the original file.
DocsAfterDark features a modern, sleek dark mode and a vibrant light mode. Try out the "midnight" dark mode variant for true-black backgrounds. Accent colors shared by both modes can be customized using the color slider in the settings popup.
Customize the document background to a darker (or lighter) shade. Or, input your own custom CSS (background-color) color.
Choose between the colorful, grayscale, and black invert modes to render document content in dark mode. The colorful invert mode preserves the essence of colors, but note that the colors will not be exact to the original document.
Globally enable/disable the extension, change to dark/light mode, and access all of the above customizations in the settings popup, which can be opened by clicking on the extension’s icon in your browser’s toolbar.
Temporarily enable/disable the extension for the current document using the toggle button in the bottom left corner of the page.

Custom colour is not saved when i enter CSS.
had everything i wanted, till i noticed that text colours dont work in dark mode, no matter how many colours you try to use. this really needs to be fixed. besides that, it's great.
One of the most useful extensions I had in a while. It helps me with all my early morning to late night writing! As a college student, I can really appreciate that.
Would be 5 stars if the pictures that I put into the Doc didn't go dark mode as well. They should implement an X-ray view for photos, similar to Apple's first "dark mode" back in the day with the iPhone 4, where the colors were inverted but still visible. I don't think this extension is doing that though, I think they're changing the colors of pictures differently. In the meantime, before X-ray, just don't make pictures go into Dark mode because it is IMPOSSIBLE to view them as it is now.
great! actually dows what it says, unlike some other plugins...
It works really great (Had to wait a few minutes after downloading for it to update to work) but for some reason it only works on one document at a time for me and I don't know how to switch it over to the others...

works good! tho the docs toggle didnt work for me n had to toggle the inverted. other reviewers said it might be bc my gdrive was on dark mode so it's no problem lol
This is a fine extension. helps me a lot. but there is a problem in the comments part. when you want to check the comments history in the docs the fonts turn white in a white background and makes it hard to read. maybe the developer should work on it to have it fixed.
HOPE THIS HELP s OK so hear me out, this didn't work for like the first five minutes I installed it, but then weirdly it updated on its own. And now it been working ever since. Give it up to 10 minutes to register! Definitely made a huge difference for me! !!!!! If it doesn't work out you can goto the left corner of your page in DOCs (which is what I was working in), hit Menu, then page set up, choose the settings paperless, and change your background to dark grey, this is another way to get her done! :) Hope this helps.
