I’ve been using PromptGuard for a while and honestly, it’s one of those extensions you almost forget is running, which is a good thing. It catches sensitive data before it gets sent to AI chats like ChatGPT or Claude, and can warn, block, or redact it depending how you set it up. It’s really useful for those moments when you copy paste something and only after pressing send you realize, “wait… that had private data in it.” PromptGuard helps catch that kind of slip without getting too much in your way. The customization is pretty nerdy, in a good way. You can add more AI agents and change how different detections should behave. My only complain is there is maybe too much settings. All of them are useful, but at first it feels like opening the config page of a very serious firewall. Overall, very useful extension. Quiet, almost invisible, and gives some peace of mind when using AI tools every day.
