This extension works intermittently. Often, the little icon in the toolbar (the one to activate the Clippings functionality) won't appear at all. By fooling around with various settings (I am not sure what I did), I was able to get it to work. However, this is much more difficult than it should be. Too bad, too, this extension is a critical part of lots of people’s workflow.
Not currently working after several days of trying. Not to be overly dramatic but I feel dirty installing a chrome extension that doesn't work. Isn't the lifetime of these things that they become unmaintained and then they turn into (or are sold into) malware? On the other hand, I also understand that scraping is a tough road. Maybe it's bitrot is destiny.
很不錯用!但是希望能有繁體中文介面!
Under maintenance - no response from help. Queued to export for hours now . . . .
Doesn't work at all (tried using Arc, Chrome, and Firefox). The import with the extension errors out. Sending a message to support does nothing.
I used to love this app, but it has not been working properly for weeks now. "Customer service" has not responded to my communication for 16 days. I just paid for another annual subscription and wish I had not as the app is currently worthless for me.
They have 1 job and they do it well. Congrats
This is great when it works! I find myself having to click through the process over and over again until it eventually downloads the new annotations. I am not sure what it is keeping it from functioning when it doesn't function.
I'm obsessed with this app, it's the absolute BEST tool I've found as a writer. I almost exclusively read on Kindle and I'm an avid highlighter. I collect all sorts of writing inspiration but until I discovered Clippings I didn't have any use for it. I'd highlight a sentence I loved, but then do nothing with it. Thanks to this app I can now actually export everything. I'm a little unhinged and I pull everything into a spreadsheet which I then organize into all sorts of categories, but that's me and my crazy brain. But honestly, the Clippings interface itself is super helpful and I love being able to search for something by word or book. Truly, my writing has improved so much since having a clear way to organize and review all the highlights I've saved. I've had no problems exporting both manually or using the Chrome extension. After nearly 2 years of using this tool there's been one bug, which I reported to Jim, who fixed it SUPER fast and was very lovely and communicative over email. I honestly can't recommend this app enough. Such a gamechanger for writers.
better than readwise would love to see integrations with obsidian for the future and adding own custom notes not attached to kindle
