If it "broke" your USB drive, try formatting your USB drive. Look it up if you don't know how to do that. Apparently, the extension also has an "Erase recovery media" option that can also help. This tool is awesome. Yes, you can use it for recovering Chromebooks. But the cool part is the fact that you can use it to flash just about any ISO from the browser! Without installing a separate program! Even if you're not on ChromeOS! That's awesome imo.
