DOes not work on linux
Won't write to usb drive (using 8gb flash drive as recommended). Stays stuck at 0%. Could probably try to install manually if I had any clue where Chrome temporarily hides these files while it's waiting to write. And no it's not in downloads.
I had really high hopes for this tool to work, I have an Acer C720, and at the end of installing it on a flashdrive, it pops up all the drive windows, and when I try to use the USB it fails stating no OS.
Successfully reinstall Chrome OS on my Pixel Slate.
Chrome OS damaged. All other recovery methods did not work. Downloaded the extention. Followed the instructions for our HP: chromebook and it worked.
Works.
Trying to recover ChromsOS on a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 CB. It doesn't even appear in the list of selectable models. The model number shown on the recovery screen is 34(!!) characters long. Who creates model numbers that long!!?? In any case, no part of the number is recognised by this extension. So how do I recover ChromeOS on this thing?? So much for "Computing simplified"!! "Switch to Chromebook" and enter a world of frustration and no hope.
