Wollte Flex so wie angepriesen auf einem alten Notebook installieren, aber schon im Punkt 1 werden nur Chromebooks zur Wiederherstellung zur Auswahl angeboten. Dann doch lieber zu einer echten Linux Distro mit vollwertigen und datenschutzfreundlichen Office Programmen. Schade, aber vielleicht auch nicht, denn auf meinem Chromebook Idea 5 dauert es 5-10 Minuten bis Teams sich öffnet und der Tablet Modus ist grottig. Leider nähern sich Google und MS immer mehr Apple an.

se questa é la "alternativa a windows 10 o a linux" ne faccio volentieri a meno e lo dico da acquirente di diversi dispositivi by google tipo pixel 7 pro pixel buds ecc cioe nel mio vecchio pc schermata nera nera! nel pc che uso per giocare con caratteristiche non dico top pero da medio alto dice "critial error grub not found pc shoutdown now" cioé sta utility da 2 soldi manco riesce a creare una chiavetta decentemente visto che il grub boot non viene manco fatto sinceramente penso che rimango su SUSEtumbleweed un vero peccato visto che volevo almeno provarlo su quel pc vecchio e sgangherato pero non funziona manco sul mio main pc bho

Na veel moeite de extensie kunnen installeren. Maar verder kan ik hier niets mee en zeker geen usb stick creeeren. Als ik op bovenstaande rechthoek `Create a recovery media for your Chromebook` klik, wordt deze alleen ietsje groter, verder niets. Ik heb het met Windows 11, 10 en Linux geprobeerd. Of is het misschien de bedoeling dat ik het met de defecte Chromebook doe? Raar dat er geen .iso bestand wordt aangeboden. Ook onhandig dat alle handleidingen in het engels zijn, maar dat ik verplicht ben op een nederlands talige site te werken.

As of Jun 2024, the extension is broken. When it worked, I was able to create a ChromeOS flex USB stick to run Chrome off of. It initially worked great but the mouse never worked and I tried on a mac and pc but over time it got buggier and buggier. Now the stick will only run ChromeOS for about 10 min before crashing. I know you are meant to use it to install but if I want to test a device this is an easy to test. Also I bought a 256GB stick. I partitioned it hoping to use 32GB for Flex and the rest as storage. This utility totally wiped the stick. I was hoping it would just repartition the section I pointed it to but nope wiped the whole thing. Once they get this extension working again, they need to step up on making bootable flex sticks more stable and better.

No se puede escribir en la memoria USB o en la tarjeta SD seleccionada. Puede que los permisos de escritura de tu dispositivo estén inhabilitados o que el administrador de tu dominio haya inhabilitado la escritura en el almacenamiento USB. Que se hace en ese caso?

Running this on an actual chromebook which is only a year or two old, it gives me the model number for this chromebook, which doesn't work. (It says it can't find it.) It also says the model will be listed on the recovery screen - that one didn't work either. I finally found the proper image on <https://chromiumdash.appspot.com/serving-builds?deviceCategory=Chrome%20OS>. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 since it did write the image correctly, but the approved method of creating recovery media shouldn't fail like this, especially not on an OS that's supposed to be simple to use.

Отличная операционка. Нельзя установить из другого браузера, кроме как Google Chrome. Флешку поганит так, что кроме как через эту же утилиту её невозможно восстановить в прежнее состояние. Ноутбук теперь не видит флешки с другими ОС, чтобы поставить адекватную. Все операционки на линуксе лютый кал. Думал, что хоть от гугла будет хорошей - зря думал.
