This does a popup notice every time that chrome changes at all. Its annoying. Also, you wil have to make sure to tell it not to add any other softwares or extensions when you install it. Also annoying. Other than that, its pretty good, and it stops all 400 ads from beating you over the head, and it gives you some interesting controls that yt does not. Not so annoying. So yeah, if you can get past the first two details. It's pretty worth.

This extension is probably the best at what it does but the constant pop-ups are truly a problem. Not to mention the fact that they tell me that my up-to-date browser is an older version. If the pop-ups were at-least truthful it would be fine. If you are the type of person that can tolerate constant untruthful/misleading ads and pop-ups in your browser, then go for it. If you are the developer and are reading this please respond with the reasoning behind these pop-ups. It is not for security purposes because i keep a close eye on what i do with my computer. If they are for ads, i use ad blockers along with many others so you are not making money off me. Please get rid of the pop-ups. For those who say they only occur when opening the browser, you are wrong. I get them multiple times a day and i do not close or restart my browser. Chrome allows you to manually update so i know that my computer and browser are not restarting Chrome.

I'd initially installed this extension to disable automatic playing of youtube videos when visited. This worked fine until a few months ago, when it stopped working reliably. At the same time, videos began occasionally opening in Theater mode, despite my never selecting that option. I've reported this issue more than once, but seen no change. The complaints about popups are exaggerated: Popups only appear on launching Chrome, and are easily to close. Ultimately, this was a useful extension until an apparent change on Youtube's part removed the functionality I'd originally installed it for. I can't speak to any of the other functions, since I didn't use them.
