I cannot recommend the extension enough. I wish I had found this sooner. - The free version has unlimited listening time and doesn't trick you with a "pay to continue" or "buy more credits" system. - All of the voices are free and non-robotic, with 4 female and 5 male options to choose from at present (Orbit is my current go-to) - It has an incredibly long reading time that you can use to listen to books/online texts/course material/and so much more while you cook/clean/draw/exercise/game/study/etc.. (I have it read one chapter at a time spanning anywhere from 30-45min) - The Dev team is incredibly fast, kind, and helpful with any issues or feedback someone might have. They are real down to earth people who care deeply for what they have created and their users (whether they are premium subscribers or not). I struggle with a reading impairment that prevents me from being able to look at a screen for too long, so this has been an absolute necessity for me as of late. I am able to be more hands free/productive during my day and even listen to audiobooks before falling asleep at night.

This is extremely helpful for grad school. Rather than getting stuck sitting in place to read I can now walk the dog, do dishes etc. while listening to my course work. It's great seeing the improvements over time. For example, the ability to omit text inside of parenthesis which completely ruins the narrative of an audiobook. A couple things to help other users- Once you get the pdf document to upload, the program can have an issue completing the task (in my experience) if you get into the hundreds of pages. So, as a work around, download a free program like Pdfsam, which allows you to chop up the document into smaller pieces. One thing i would really like to see is the ability to remove footnotes at the bottom of pages. This would be massively helpful because I'm still working for an automated solution to rid the pdf document of these tedious readings. If anyone has a solution, please reach out directly. Great program and really appreciate the hardwork!
