Also known as "BTTV" or "Better Twitch TV" by the community, BetterTTV aims to add new features to Twitch and YouTube (in beta).

Here's some of the features we add:

• Extra emotes in chat - BetterTTV global and per-channel custom emotes

• Custom keywords targeting phrases, words, users, and chat badges

• Split chat lines for easy reading

I mostly use it for the emotes. My main complaint is that I use theater mode 99% of the time and prefer Twitch's default dark theme to BTTV's. But if you turn off BTTV's dark mode, it will force the chat window to be light grey instead of Twitch's dark purple.

Highly disliked the current V7 update TBH. They took out the features I used 90% of the time, which were Custom Scroll Back Amount, and Hover Over Image Preview. There are some things that they also removed, like some certain badge changing things, emote things, such and such that I personally don't use. If you want a dark theme Twitch, go for it, but I wouldn't suggest it (as of now) for some of its current utilities, seeing as how they could be removed in a future update.
