Also known as "BTTV" or "Better Twitch TV" by the community, BetterTTV aims to add new features to Twitch and YouTube (in beta).

Here's some of the features we add:

• Extra emotes in chat - BetterTTV global and per-channel custom emotes

• Custom keywords targeting phrases, words, users, and chat badges

• Split chat lines for easy reading

The extension is great, but it hasn't been updated since November 2017. Twitch has implemented new features and BTTV is a bit broken as of Feb 2018.

I would like it if old Twitch emotes that got retired, like BORT and OMGScoots would be possible with this too, but other than that, this is great.

Very clunky in my experience. BetterTTV occasionally takes a long time to load chat when entering a new channel. More often, it would load chat but no messages would appear. I got tired of having to refresh because Better Twitch caused the player or directory to play up. On high end PC's this is probably not an issue, but on my regular laptop that I use for browsing I'll be disabling it until it gets updated. Keep it around for the emotes but FrankerFaceZ is a better Twitch add-on otherwise.
