Also known as "BTTV" or "Better Twitch TV" by the community, BetterTTV aims to add new features to Twitch and YouTube (in beta).

Here's some of the features we add:

• Extra emotes in chat - BetterTTV global and per-channel custom emotes

• Custom keywords targeting phrases, words, users, and chat badges

Completely necessary for watching twitch stream, you can darken the background to lessen the stress on your eye's, block specific words from chat if you don't want to see them and many many more things

I have been using this app for a long time now and when I don't have it on another computer it just feels odd. Also the white backround on normal TTV makes my eyes bleed so I'm grateful that this app has DarkenTTV to make things easier on the eyes.

BTTV is a mandatory plugin for any regular Twitch viewer. The darker skin makes it easier on the eyes and it will automatically hide all the stuff you never clicked anyways. My only complaint is the ebin maymays it adds for emotes. Fortunately they can be turned off.

It's great! All I'm missing right now is a "link catcher". A feature to catch all the links and put them in a separate list somewhere would be awesome. Peaze! No ragrets, m'lady!
