Remove black bars from any video. Fit any video to your entire screen on any video platform — automatically.
UltraWideo is the cross-browser extension that manipulates video aspect ratio to fill your screen. Whether you own an ultrawide monitor (21:9, 32:9), a standard 16:9 display watching 4:3 videos, or anything in between — UltraWideo eliminates black bars and gives you a true full-screen experience.
Why UltraWideo over other extensions?
Unlike alternatives that break on certain platforms or stop detecting videos, UltraWideo is proven to work on all major video streaming platforms, including embedded videos across the web. No "video not detected" errors. No broken layouts on non-video pages. It only activates when there's a video to work with.
▸ Works everywhere — any streaming service, any site with embedded video, any platform. Not limited to a single site.
▸ Blazingly fast — written in plain JavaScript with a tiny footprint. No memory leaks, no background processes draining your battery, no performance degradation over time.

Developer not only significantly changed the design, but also broke the video scaling rules. Videos is now scaled incorrectly and not as it should. The app completely lost all functionality. Version 3.5.8 is the latest and best version, ad-free. UPD: Man, just install 3.5.8 and look the difference between in video scaling rules and design, 3.5.8 and 4.0.3-4.0.4. Thank you. UPD2: Since you wrote that you didn't notice a difference after installing 3.5.8 and 4.0.4, I'll tell you straight out... 3.5.8 - has no ads. 4.0.4 - promotes PRO functionality and has a floating button that blocks your view. Alt+Shift+A still doesn't work. 3.5.8 - doesn't scale videos that aren't fullscreen, only fullscreen ones. 4.0.4 - scales ALL videos, whether it's fullscreen or not. Guess you'll say you didn't notice...
Removes black bars. Adds floating button. I've read some of your replies author. If you didn't want people to be upset because you HAD to move what was already working for whatever reason, you should have just included an update detailing "Hey, you can get rid of it with Option 1, option 2," etc. Perhaps you did and I didn't read it. People hate having things auto opted in. If you're willing to change this extension to this extent, what is this going to look like in a year? I'll take my chances with another extension. Good luck to you.
This used to be one of my favorite extensions, I'm back to update my once 5 star review. The developer nearly ruined it with a poorly thought out update. After the update, my settings were all deleted, and the icon I had thoughtfully pinned in the toolbar ceased to function. A large green animated popup appeared on the page that completely blocked my profile icon on YouTube. And yes, if it is completely covering your profile icon IT IS LARGE. I did discover the way to auto hide it, but I still really don't like the change. I hope the developer listens to the many concerns voiced and makes the popup opt-in rather than opt-out, and put it back in the toolbar where it is most intuitive and convenient.
Great features, but the new floating button is a dealbreaker. Functionally, this extension is perfect. However, the recent update added a massive, un-customizable green circle directly onto the web pages. It litters the workspace and feels very intrusive. I’ve had to disable the extension for now. Please consider adding a toggle in the settings to hide this on-screen widget and let us use the extension via the standard browser toolbar.
Asco esa burbuja verde, hacen hasta lo imposible para dejarla.

update = delete
Latest update adds an annoying floating icon that appears in the browser viewport and disappears after a few seconds. It will appear even if the video is not full screen covering other content on the page. Unfortunately there are no options to remove this floating icon at all and will be disabling it for now.
why did you think this would be a good idea? Uninstalled dummies. Everyone try Video Transformer.
Why a floating button and 29.99 subcription?
