Always keep a backup of your secrets in a safe location.
Encrypting your secrets is strongly recommended, especially if you are logged into a Google account.

This app was amazing, but I have a crypto situation so need to do something immediatly. Guys here's a solution for the ones who made a backup of their codes . Fist download Authy Authenticator app, you can also download this app in your phone so your codes stay synchronized. http://bit.ly/1Rzc8RC Then find your backup file and add each code "field called - secret " to Authy app. I just tried with one of my codes and it worked . Hope this is helpful for you.

It was ok, but after today Jan 28, 2018 app doesn't work anymore, pls fix it

UPDATE - for those who are worried about their keys. So, the app is clearly broken, but I managed to fix it locally and retrieve the codes. So don't worry - YOUR KEYS ARE NOT LOST! Lets just wait for the developer to fix the app, hopefully ASAP, because although the data is safe, it's not usable anymore so far. WANT TO BACKUP YOUR KEYS NOW? Good news - it's not too late yet. Follow this instruction to restore the codes: https://d.pr/n/JBsHYZ BACKED UP CODES ARE REUSABLE! The backed up codes can be used with other apps - just tested with Authy, was able to log in to 2FA-protected account successfully.
