Always keep a backup of your secrets in a safe location.

Encrypting your secrets is strongly recommended, especially if you are logged into a Google account.

Me paso que mi pc tambien tenia un virus y tuve que reiniciar mi navegador y perdi mi acceso a varias cuentas que tenia con autenticador de google para que fueran supuestamente mas "seguras"

Tuve que hacer un reseteo de mi pc por un virus y ahora resulta que no te puedo entrar a mi cuenta y los códigos que me genera esta cosa no me dejan entrar a mi cuenta original (esta no es mía). He intentado de todo y esta cosa por no decir groserías no funciona, ni cuenta me hackearon tuve tanto problemas como ahora.

I had loads of issues setting this up, but it works now! 1. Make sure you select 'other Authenticator' when generating the QR code. Default is Microsoft Authenticator. 2. Use the QR code, not the manual input. For some reason the manual input was creating a different code for me. 3. Make sure you finish the process. Check that the authenticator is listed as a 2FA option on your account. You may not have completed the final steps, e.g. inputting the code to confirm the 2FA. 4. Reset the clock sync. 4. If it still doesn't work, try deleting the extension and starting again. This worked for me!

es una excelente aplicacion solo que mucha gente no sabe configúrarlo.. se debe hacer 1 sola vez desde el celular app celular o movil y desde el navegador de tu preferencia al mismo tiempo para que sincronice cada vez que entran en google face binance etc..luego hace todo automatico..la aplicacion funciona al 100 ...recuerden es autentificador 2 pasos no guarda tus contraseñas

Please add a note in description that only a max of 5 accounts can be imported when importing from google authenticator. Had to waste some time figuring that out.
