At DuckDuckGo, we believe the best way to protect your personal information from hackers, scammers, and privacy-invasive companies is to stop it from being collected at all. That's why millions of people choose DuckDuckGo over other browser extensions to protect their searching and browsing. Our built-in search engine is like Google but never tracks your searches. And our browsing protections, such as ad tracker blocking and cookie blocking, help stop other companies from collecting your data. Oh, and our browser extension is free — we make money from privacy-respecting search ads, not by exploiting your data. Take back control of your personal information with the browser extension designed for data protection.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS
Protect Your Searches by Default: Install the extension and we’ll set your default search engine and homepage to DuckDuckGo Search, so you can easily search online without being tracked.
Shield Your Browsing History: Our 3rd-Party Tracker Loading Protection blocks most trackers before they load, greatly exceeding what the browser offers by default.
Secure Your Email (Optional): Use Email Protection to block most email trackers and hide your existing email address with @duck.com addresses.
Automatically Enforce Encryption: Shield your data from network and Wi-Fi snoopers by forcing many sites to use an HTTPS connection.

THIS IS SO GOOD!
The extension regularly stops working. It will be operating just fine, and suddenly any search I try to do result in receiving this error: "This site can’t be reached duckduckgo.com unexpectedly closed the connection. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall Running Windows Network Diagnostics ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED" The only solution I've found is to clear my browsing history.
Loved it.
duckduckgo is awesome have been using it for a while now. For me privacy is first and duckduckgo is the best suit.
Chrome me déactive l'extension sans avertissements. Vérifier bien si votre extension est toujours activé.
I didn't like that this extension didn't have the option to keep it as a tracker blocker, and that you had to use DuckDuckGo's engine or nothing, so I just removed it, no biggie. 30 minutes later I'm writing this review as I had to re-add it to stop pop-ups from a totally coincidential origin that even more coincidentially, did stop after reinstalling. So yeah, 10/10, literally harasses you to stay
privacy.
hey if you search on google something the ad pop up at the youtube thats good i was doing me assigment
it deleted every thing
I love Duckduckgo, especially since they still provide good image search results for adult content, unlike Google, and block potentially harmful browser trackers. But ever since I installed the Chrome extension for Duckduckgo, I haven't been able to change my default search engine back to Google... For some searches, Google genuinely provides better search results, regardless of being a somewhat shady company. Can I receive some guidance on how to change my browser's default search engine back to google, without removing the beloved extension? Better yet, is there a way I can switch between different search engines on the fly? A hotkey combo, or something?!
