Thank you for making this! Removing users' ability to mute individual tabs was an incredibly dumb thing for chrome devs to do; if they thought doing so would make chrome more light-weight, they should realize that they're only forcing users to have to load an extra extension.

If you could change the color of the speaker icon in the top right corner to white, that would be great. Since chrome has now forced dark mode :))

Thanks for this simple but effective extension. Apparently Chrome just keep removing functions i use. Works with dark Chrome with a light icon, and a dark icon for default Chrome.

To the devs at Chromium Project and Google Chrome: You dun goofed. To the author of this extension: You ungoofed the dun goof. Thank you for creating this very simple feature replacement which actually makes more sense than the Google Chrome feature which had the mute button on the tab. Shame on you Google for pushing other users to Firefox, now I'm laughed at for using chrome while the devs are cutting off important limbs left, right and centre.

*As Apr 22*, the keyboard shortcut ctrl+m has stopped working. Any chance of enabling another one? A must have extension to use with Chrome since its update. I use it the other way round, I have all tabs and sites muted by Chrome and use the extension to unmute tabs.

Thank you so much for this, I'm transitioning from Firefox to Chromium at the moment and found the lack of tab muting quite a let down. Also, well done for offering the light icon choice, that's something many extension creators seem to overlook.

Thanks for this. I think removing this function was a ridiculous and stupid idea on google's part. Not as good as the original function (used to be able to mute a tab without opening it) but better than nothing & the best you can do.

I used this feature all the time, why would I want to mute a whole site? That doesn't work for sites like Twitch. The mod is not a 1/1 due to Google not allowing modders to put stuff in the tabs, but it's a lot better than not having it at all. The only thing is that the extension icon doesn't have a background, so if you run Chrome in dark mode its very hard to see. Works as advertised.
