Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.
You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

Antes era uma ferramenta fantástica que de facto facilitava o processo de fazer referências. Desde a última atualização que passou a dificultar, ou porque não me permite sequer fazer o login, ou porque não é capaz de fazer sincronização entre a app do computador e o web importer, ou porque não regista bem as referências que adiciono. Enfim, a lista de insatisfações é grande, o que é uma pena tendo em conta que antes funcionava bem.
It used to work, but now when i click on the extension it opens a blank popup, says i'm logged in... and then does nothing. It's faster to just copy-paste the doi in mendeley reference manager
Adoro Mendeley, pero esta extensión no sirve para nada últimamente, en dos dispositivos al guardar mi referencia no se sincroniza con mi biblioteca y me toca estar guardando las citas manualmente...
Esta extensión en los últimos tiempos cada vez funciona peor. De cada 5 veces que la activas solo hace su función una. Deben mejorarla. Edito la reseña en mayo de 2024... funciona aún peor si cabe que hace 8 meses... No funciona nunca.

Cada vez que cambio de página y hago click en el icono de la extensión, comienza a iniciar sesión nuevamente, no importa cuantas veces lo haya hecho antes. Esto no sería un problema si inicia rápido pero toma mucho tiempo hasta que inicia sesión y en muchos casos hay que actualizar la página varias veces porque queda cargando infinitamente.
Hello, I've been struggling with the extension as well as most of you, however I found a workaround. When clicking on the extension icon brought up the pop-up windows (it helps to enable these in your browser - I use Vivaldi, but also tried it in Google Chrome and it worked there), there are two things that show up. First, there is an empty "Sign in" popup page, which almost immediately changes to "Logged in". The thing that worked for me was saving the "Logged in" pages into my bookmarks (I was unable to do this in Chrome as it doesn't have a top menu bar, but for some reason I was able to login without this), and whenever Mendeley is having trouble logging in, I click on this (use a separate tab as it will automatically close). You will at some point during this process be able to type in your e-mail and password, and when using the extension, Mendeley will work for about five minutes, then the next time it will be logged out. This is when you click on the "Logged in" bookmark again. Then it will be logged in. It's stupid, and it's time consuming and annoying, but it works. I hope it helps - and I hope to god you guys can fix this mess soon!

No está sincronizando las referencias de los contenidos digitales con el mendeley de escritorio. Lleva meses así.
