Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.
You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

It does not work. When I click it a new window opens and then automatically closes. I even tried reinstalling the addon but still does not work.
He tenido muy buenos comentarios en la universidad sobre este gestor bibliográfico y me parece muy intuitivo. Tuve problemas con la extensión pero lo solucione activando las ventanas emergentes en ajustes de Chrome. it is really unique but only when I add the reference manually, it is not working on chrome. please solve this problem soon because it is really helpful.
Hola, también tuve inconvenientes con la actualización pero borre otras extensiones y se solucionó.
I don't know what has happened at Mendeley's end, but currently pressing the Mendeley Web Importer tool button is like playing a slot machine game: sometimes you win, but mostly don't. My Windows 10 computer is running Intel i7, has 16 GB of RAM and all the latest software updates + latest Chrome, and still Mendeley refuses to work. On a good day I'm able to import 2-5 out of 15 references. I'm changing the system to something else.

Full of bugs here and there. Unusable.
I agree with all of the current reviewers regarding this, in the past, as a great resource. It is unfortunate and disheartening that it is not working properly. It sometimes opens and when it does, it does not download the reference to the library. Or as others have shared, it will not open at all. Humbly frustrated...as I do appreciate all that it used to offer.
it dose not working
Used to work perfectly and now doesn't even open properly! So disappointing, I've been using Mendeley since 2013 and am now going to have to change reference manager.
