I love the AA shopping button and have earn my fair set of miles. I've read reviews where customers say that points are not being posted. I have had this happen to me, but very seldom. If after 15 days a purchase has not posted mileage, then I contact them thru the "button" under help. Easy to do, all they need is was purchase desktop or smart phone, date of purchase, and proof of purchase. I send in a scan copy of my purchase from the store that I made the purchase. Easy to use and takes less than 2 minutes and my points are posted in less than 24 hours. I've been happy with the AA button for years. My only suggestion is that the AA button application be put on a smart phone.

I use this for all my shopping and man, it's terrific! It's a great way to earn miles and status for the stuff I already do and, even though it's not perfect (And I'd love to see some additional stores) there's a broad cross section of earning opportunities.

the filters in the search for items feature could improve. The current one doesn't narrow the search by much, earning miles for things that you need to buy definitely fun and beneficial. Almost all of my online shopping is being done through aa shopping.

It's very good but there are starting to be too many exclusions at most stores for common items. For example Walmart excludes electronics, beauty, etc. Best Buy excludes video games, laptops, desktops, etc. Most stores it excludes printer ink. The list goes on. It also doesn't work with some, if not all, of the hotel chains where you can link to them from the AA website and get miles but not with the Chrome extension oddly.

Like some other reviewers have mentioned, it is great when it works. I just ordered an item from eBay yesterday and the AAdvantage eShopping extension popped up and I clicked the activate button AND, after I made the eBay purchase, I saw another AAdvantage eShopping extension pop-up congratulating me and telling me I earned miles. But I logged on to my AAdvantage eShopping account this morning although it shows that I did visit eBay yesterday, it does not show my eBay purchase in "Recent Transactions". Perhaps it won't show up until eBay ships it so I will wait a few more days. I really wish I had taken a screenshot of the pop-up message telling me I earned miles. I thought about doing that but thought, no surely I would get properly credited since that congratulatory pop-up message came up after I made the purchase. ALSO - why would I suddenly get a request to give this review of AAdvantage eShopping unless I actually recently used it? That is how I got to this review page - I got a prompt this morning requesting me to review my recent shopping experience. I get so frustrated with this whole process.

So easy to use! The AAdvantage eShopping extension pops up to automatically let me know about opportunities to earn miles, which is handy when I don't think to look up and see if the site I'm shopping on is a partner. I also love that it shows 'deals' where you can earn extra points. I've started buying my beauty items at one of the AA partners rather than the "A" company, so I'm building up miles that way. Plus TBH the pricing is often better on the manufacturer's website, and you know you're getting the actual product, not a counterfeit.
