唐突に更新され「改悪」された。 検索機能は「保存したタブ名」から「URLのタイトル」に対象が変わり、なおかつポップアップが表示されるだけで見づらいことこの上ない。 タブを開くのもダブルクリックさせられ、タブを保存するのもなぜか「名前をつけて保存」せずいきなりUntitledで保存される。 嫌がらせのようなアップデートを即座に取り消してほしい。

I gave Session Buddy a 5 star rating 12 years ago. After seeing and working with this new v4 update, I wish I could give it at least 8 out of 5 stars. So much of the new functionality is stuff that I have been wishing for for years. There was obviously a huge amount of thought and design work, not to mention the actual coding, involved in bringing this about. Anyone encountering this extension for the first time will find themselves with a much more powerful tool than they would have had with v3. I encourage anyone considering this extension for the first time to have a look at the v4 announcement and FAQ pages, to see how much functionality has been added/improved and groundwork laid for future improvements. There's clear commitment to making this tool as good as it can be. Impressive. No piece of software can please everyone. People tend to get in their "groove" and often find it difficult to adapt to change. Often this is compounded by some believing that their own personal wishes and preferences are universally held, and at it's worst, that they are somehow entitled to have it their way (especially strange when we're talking about a free piece of software). Unfortunately, it is the most unhappy and most angry who are motivated to come here to vent, after such a big upgrade. If you are looking at Session Buddy for the first time, I encourage you to consider the 1,000,000+ users, and 4.7 stars average out of 24.4K ratings, from its well over a decade of existence, together with the great stuff mentioned in those v4 announcement docs plus the number of fixes and changes that have already been made in response to user requests. I believe you can be confident that Session Buddy remains best-in-class, and that you should surely give it a try. (btw, the cmd/ctrl-B keyboard shortcut is one of the first things that was fixed. certain features or functionality have not actually been removed, as being claimed, but are merely named or accessed differently.)

I know a lot of people are missing out on a couple features that were in the old app, but everyone reading need to know that the stability of this has shot way up compared to before, which would constantly crash, and eventually just not open anymore for users with high amounts of saved sessions, while it might be awhile to have the old search back, the new one is decent enough for now until it gets upgraded, I'd much rather be secure knowing it won't crash anymore.

Lost the ability to quickly close tabs in other windows with one click so this went from a 5 star extension to being useless, as I'm a chronic multitasker and researcher who regularly restores 90+ browser tabs leftover relating to unfinished work/research, and has to close sometimes nearly 200 at the end of the workday. Doubling/tripling the number of clicks to perform a simple repetitive function like this has made it more effective to just stop using it entirely. Utterly bizarre that anyone would think that was a good feature change. A simple toggle to switch back to the old version would suffice but I actually couldn't wait that long for a resolution before I switched.

2024.03 Update: I miss the feature to remove snapshots from the history. I didn't really see the need to change anything, it was a great plugit as it was!
