This tiny and efficient extension adds standard video playback controls to Instagram™ videos. Normally, all you can do with an Instagram™ video is play or pause it, but this extension will expose the native HTML 5 video player which has a seek bar (aka video scrubber), a volume control, a play/pause button, Picture-In-Picture (floating video) button, fullscreen video button, and on *some* videos it will also display a download button!
The extension automatically runs and works on all web pages that embed Instagram™ videos!
How to use it:
1) Load any web page that contains an Instagram video
2) Click the video to make it play
3) That's it - the extension will automatically detect the video and will reveal the control buttons.

I mean it does what I wanted it to (control the volume and rewind videos), but every time you pause or start from the beginning, it mutes! I have to miss the first second of what they're saying in the video because I have to slide the scroller to the start, then go click the volume button as fast as I can. A bonus addition for the developers would be to rewind/fast forward (maybe 5 seconds. Most videos are 10-15) with the left and right arrows.
APP IS BROKEN NOW, the video seek bar is unclickable thanks to instagrams updates.

As a web developer I understand how many works put just to keep extension working - with ever-changing layout and stuff in such a big platform as Instagram. Really appreciate efforts.

neet reels play in background tabs , this extension simply not working
Until the bug with remembering volume levels is fixed this is kind of useless, I'm not manually unmuting every video lol
むちゃ便利。スマホではできる早送りや巻き戻しがPCブラウザではできないのはなんで～！と前から思っていたのが一発で解決。ありがとう！！！
really good, makes the reel into an mp4 viewing without messing up the scroll function, only issue is the little black hue box on the bottom is pushed up, which kinda messed up the viewing. fix that and this is an easy 5 stars
