This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Been using Dark Reader for quite a long time, and I like it. Is it me but the fonts colours settings have been removed? Am I missing something here? That was my favourite feature.

All positive reviews say all I want to say. Advanced users: (Not sure if this was mentioned) Use Inspect on any website to find code and further modify CSS code so you can override practically any item, text, image, apply color filters, make something completely invisible if you like, change spacing, etc. This takes patience and experience with CSS but I've modified Gmail, bank websites, Facebook, and many others to look better for my experience. CSS for inverting Google Drive document previews too look better in dark mode. (There may be a way to combine the two file types but I didn't take the time to learn this yet.)
