This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Perfect! Much respect to the developer. It's exactly what I was looking for. Unlike other similar extensions it doesn't completely invert the color of photos and videos, plus overall it just makes web-pages look much nicer.
Замедляет работу браузера: ввод текста, прокрутка страницы. В Google Chrome терпимо, в Yandex становится невозможно работать. Во всех браузерах становится невозможно смотреть видео, отображается с частотой кадров 3 в секунду. А в остальном очень хорошее расширение. Добавил сайты с видео в исключения, чтобы они отображались в нормальном режиме, чтобы не тормозило видео.

Perfect - have tried a heap of different "night mode" extensions, and this is by far the best I have tried. Quick and easy to customise and set up, and unlike other similar extensions, doesn't seem to slow down Chrome. Great work!
Tenho um monitor enorme que não dá para diminuir a luminosadade. Sem este plugin, é desconfortavel ler à noite. Recomendo!!!

Blazing white backgrounds all day every day. Finally an answer that works! Thank You! Dark Reader saved my eyes!
I love it BUT its system footprint on performance is like running four video games in the background! It takes 15-20 seconds just for the config UI to pop up! That is insane! It never seems to stop consuming resources, it doesn't appear to just paint and quit the tab. Which makes sense of course, dynamic/AJAX pages like yer socialmediers do need constant babysitting but EXPLETIVE SOUP this thing just wasted a solid hour of my life because I didn't take it into account when starting my workload. Opened my usual 60-100 tabs at once and didn't get control of my computer back until I had taken extreme measures. Fix that. It doesn't need to be so f..king flashy.
