This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Used to be a good app, no longer reliable. Randomly causes my monitor to flicker random black dots across the screen and then freezes the whole device until it blue screens. Clearly an unsolved memory leak bug. Uninstalled. Update: Developer did not even investigate further & closed the issue (https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader/issues/8484) — downgraded to 1-star.

This add-on is probably the best of its kind! But, some texts on some sites doesnʻt look normal when inverted. For example, on appen.com youʻve some numbers below audios, they disappear on dark mode.

So, I've only been using it for a few minutes so I don't know how much this mean, but I love it. I just can't stand light theme at all (like really it's insane how much I hate it) so for stuff like Google Docs and such it was horrible. I tried some other extensions, but either they didn't change the page color or when they did, they didn't update the text color (and black on black isn't really readable if you didn't know). To thanks for that There was also some website which already had a dark theme and the mix of both made something weird, but as you can disable it for the website, it's all good And I'll be honest, I don't think I'll ever be using the filters options, but it's still pretty good there are available (as, even if I won't use them, they are useful)
