This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

DarkReaderを有効にした状態で、youtubeを見ると概要欄が表示されなくなります。無効にしてリロードすると、表示されるようになります。

Good extension, but it currently causes the following error in the Chrome Devtools, which is quite annoying when you're debugging websites: Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.

Used to work great, but unfortunately no longer works at all in my copy of Chrome. I tried many things - removing and re-installing the extension, quitting and relaunching Chrome, etc. Nothing helped. I wrote the dev and he said it's because I'm using an old version of Chrome on an old computer, and he doesn't support old stuff. OK, fair enough... but the exact same version of Dark Reader worked on the exact same version of Chrome until a week or two ago, so his reply doesn't make sense to me. What changed? Anyway it still works in my (also old) Firefox... and I replaced Dark Reader in Chrome with Night Reader, which works OK but is not as good. Oh well...
