This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

It allows the screen to become darker than than the computer's default brightness, v.v. useful in complete dark environment. Has different filters and can be edited for different sites differently.
Great open source tool Cons: - Some Extension elements are not corrected with right colors. making it almost imposible to read when extension enabled. Dark Mode extension does not have this problem.
im not paying 10 dollars just to adjuste brightness, wish could give this 0 stars
puts images into negative colors but otherwise great. sometimes it quickly flashes between light and dark mode while loading a page, which is unfortunate
as a programmer I really appreciate this tool being in my extension belt since freakin' high school! Just thought I'd say thank you for being the GOAT dark mode extension. No issues on Opera so far... Arepo out!
I love this extension but recently its getting on my nerves, it constantly refuses to let me turn off the darkmode for some websites. I can completely disable it fine, but clicking the button to change it for just that site does nothing, extremely annoying.

El contraste entre el blanco y el negro es excesivo, y el alivio que supone tener el entorno negro no logra darse del todo porque el brillo de la letra en blanco es demasiado vibrante. Me gustan más entornos oscuros con texto blanco como los que crean naturalmente chatgpt o claude, que el negro no es absoluto ni el blanco, y la vista descansa más. Creo que al menos deberiais dar la opción de configurarlo.

An sich der beste Dark Mode, was die Farben und die Umstellung der Farben etc. angeht. Allerdings hab ich dadurch Laggs z.B. auf Amazon, wenn ich auf einen Artikel gehe (Amazon.de). Die Artikelseite lädt dann ewig, vor allem wenn mehrere Variationen verfügbar sind.
