This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Really nice extension! Works as advertised. On the other hand, though I am not sure whether or not this is something to worry about, I suspect that this extension tried to form a connection (which was thankfully blocked by Bitdefender) with cloudfront.net. I suspected that this extension formed the connection because the connection followed another connection (also thankfully blocked by Bitdefender) to another website, darkreader.com, which clearly has connections to this extension. Looking at cloudfront.net's safeweb.norton.com reviews, the website got a 2.8 star review, with many of the reviews reporting malware. Suspicious, huh? Of course this may all just be a false positive by Bitdefender and Norton, but the chances of both well-known, leading antimalware programs not liking cloudfront.net is very suspicious—suspicious enough for me to give this seemingly-respectable extension three stars.

cant see volume adjust, video seek bar or new custom playback speed bar in google photos. an update to remedy this would be awesome as i dont think google will make a dark mode for google photos in browser anytime soon. otherwise best dark mode solution ive found.

Excellent performance with tons of customization. Not like the other extensions that just swap black for white and white for black, that makes it even harder to read. Thank Dark Reader team, appreciate your efforts.
