This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

The con is that it slows down rendering time but I'll gladly trade that for comfortable night reading. It seems to "get it right" for most images. Considering the degree of control it affords, especially at no cost, this gives nighteye a true run for its money.

This should be one of the default features of Chrome. After a few weeks of use, I can't imagine browsing (at night) without this particlar extension (+ Adblock of course..).

Tried out just about every dark mode extension there was for Chrome and this one does the best job converting every page to a dark theme HANDS DOWN. Not one other extension comes close to the level of performance in terms of legibility that this extension offers. As others have said, the speed could be improved, but the results speak for themselves. Great extension!

C'est un produit quasiment parfait, auquel je me suis habituée très vite...sauf que je me suis rendue compte qu'il rendait une partie des boutons invisibles sur certaines pages, donc je désactive pour le moment en attendant une petite mise à jour qui permette d'identifier tout ce qui est présent sur les pages que je visite.
