This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

This is amazing. I needed to find a way to use google as my Chrome home page without killing my eyes. This works perfectly. And other sites I use look so much better on dark mode. Thanks!!! Update: It stopped working after I added some site to the inverted list. Now it doesn't work on any site. I can't even toggle it on or off. Sorry but I'm removing it since it no longer does the job I got it to do. Update: June 29, 2020 It has stopped working again. Some sites are fine others, on others it won't work at all. Toggling it on and off helps on some sites but not others. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, didn't help. On most of the sites it does work on it's just white text on a black background. Whatever was done to this extension please undo it. In the meantime I'm going to look for something else to use.
