I have Dark Reader installed on every web browser I use.. Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi. It works tremendously well on every platform I have tested it on. Unlike HackerVision and similar extensions, it does not simply invert the colors. Unlike Stylish, it works uniformly across all websites. It is absolutely customizable, allowing you to have both a light or dark theme, and from there, you can affect the brightness, contrast, sepia, font style, and font thickness. The best part, for me, are the easily assigned macros to turn Dark Reader off. Dark Reader doesn't work well on some websites (like Gmail) and in some cases, I just don't want it on a certain website. ALT+SHIFT+A can be used to add a website to an invert list.. or you can switch that list, and make it only for websites you want shown dark. This is a great extension, I cannot speak more highly off it.

EXCELLENT! MUCH better than "Care Your Eyes" dark extension, which caused issues printing .pdf shipping labels from eBay and also random issues on websites. DarK Reader is easy to use, provides optional whitelisted websites (where it won't be active) and a simple ON/OFF slide control for you to toggle it off when not needed. Works great on YouTube also, unlike others. Much easier on my eyes, as for both technical work I prefer a dark background to minimize stress on my eyes. Thanks for a great extension!

Enhances and preserves my vision. Better than "screen dimmers", for when I'm only using Chrome and not other programs. Allows me to watch videos at regular brightness, while still saving my eyes. Glad I found this. Thank you! :)

Hands down the best dark thing for Chrome. The fine adjustments are awesome and let you fine tune for your eyes. Seems to work on more sites than the others (your mileage may vary!). 14/10, would pay for. My only complaint is that it doesnt work on the chrome webstore.

It's great, except there needs to be an option to not invert images. Although thinking about it, it might be difficult on the developers since they would have to differentiate between pictures and site elements. A response from the developers would be nice, I'll change my review to 5 if i get a response
