News Feed Eradicator removes the most addicting part of Facebook, Twitter and other social networks - the feed - and replaces it instead with an inspirational quote. You can still use the other functionality as usual, you just won't get sucked into the attention hole.

Best plugin for me in 2017. Now I focus more, waste less time and check FB only for what it's meant to: keeping in touch with my friends.
My newsfeed is gone (yay) but so are any and all updates from my friends in general. Do I rely on "notifications" to see friend updates? It's been so long since there wasn't a newsfeed that I don't remember how to use facebook! :)
It still shows on entry of the newsfeed and there are no option to remove it.
Get it now and save yourself so much time
So simple! Just add and refresh your facebook page. No more distracting posts. I especially appreciate it now, as there is a lot of news being posted to and fro and disagreement, but as someone who actually works on public policy issues I still need to be able to see my contacts and "political" posts when my mental health can handle it. :-) I appreciate that this allows me to step away when I choose. This is amazing. The news feed should really be an optional feature, but because it's not, this extension may save my sanity. Thank you.
I started using this years ago when it first came out and haven't looked back! It's great to have a break from the onslaught on the newsfeed and just use Facebook for actually communicating.
