News Feed Eradicator removes the most addicting part of Facebook, Twitter and other social networks - the feed - and replaces it instead with an inspirational quote. You can still use the other functionality as usual, you just won't get sucked into the attention hole.

Does exactly what it says. Quotes could be better though, but to be honest that doesn't really matter.

This is so simple and just the best, freedom! the news feed is addictive, but not in a good way, you find yourself on there for hours going from one stupid thing to the next, but never actually getting any value from it. PEOPLE DONT REALISE HOW MUCH EFFORT FACEBOOK PUT IN TO MAKING ITSELF ADDICTED! Read the book "hooked" to understand.

Needs quotes from women, femmes, non-binary folks, trans folks, BIPOC!!! Have had it for 2 weeks + so far the quotes have been pretty much 100% from men. Women/femmes say smart/inspiring/motivating/brilliant things too - the app needs some more diverse representation. Otherwise works great!

I have to say this is the BEST extension for productivity. I work alone and at home and I'd find myself with nothing done by lunchtime and the feed and trending are SO negative. Who needs that crap? Not me! I tried FBPurity but it screwed up my laptop one day out of the blue with malware so it had to go. I give it two thumbs and two pinky toes UP!
