This is where News Feed Eradicator comes in.

News Feed Eradicator removes the most addicting part of Facebook, Twitter and other social networks - the feed - and replaces it instead with an inspirational quote. You can still use the other functionality as usual, you just won't get sucked into the attention hole.

I get problems with it where I need to reload the extension and then pages but otherwise it works well

Works great, and if I block the extension settings page with Cold Turkey during working hours, then I don't even have the option to pause it. It's awesome!

Its a shame the news feed on particular subreddits isn't blocked as well, I often waste time scrolling paticularly addictive subreddits

Stops the doom and/or endless time-consuming mindless scrolling, while still allowing you to go to social media to see specific post, pages, people, etc. No longer am I distracted by my feed when I'm going to a site to look at a specific post or to watch a video from a playlist or watchlist. Love it! Like the newly updated look, layout, and features as well (Feb. 2026)! Also works in the Brave browser! Only wish: more inspirational quotes! Definitely worth buying a coffee for the developer!

Great extension for focused working on LinkedIn! Absolutely love it! Would get a 5-star rating if it would also eradicate notifications such as new connection requests, comments on posts, etc. Because now those red notifications popping up at the top of my screen still distract me when trying to focus on doing outreach in the dm.
