Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

The problem with this extension is that it is misleading. Collaborating on Office files in conjunction with the way Google Drive operates does NOT allow for synchronous collaboration. If you need to collaborate at the same time on a document JUST START IN A GOOGLE DOC or CONVERT AN OFFICE DOCUMENT. You will find that when you collaborate synchronously all your work is saved in Revision History but it is not combined. So essentially you don't LOSE data, but you still have to piece it all together.

Muito limitado. Qualquer pacote Office para Android é melhor do que esta versão para Chromebook (Chrome OS) ao avaliar a edição offline de arquivos.

Tried viewing an msword application form that is already filled out. The check boxes did not show. The document displays correctly in Libre-office. I am running this on Ubuntu, which may explain the bad display.
