View and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files - without needing Office installed on your computer.
Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.
You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

It fails to match the page size to the original .doc or .docx file. This is the same problem I get with the standard viewer in Chrome OS on Samsung Chromebook
It is okay but it wouldn't let me back into it after I downloaded it.
Works alright on Linux, but fails to open anything on Windows for some reason...
xlsx files show up landscape instead of portrait. Please fix, MAJOR fault.

Used to work, but doesn't open .docx anymore.
The description says it's just for viewing and not editing, but I think it has since been updated because I was able to edit and save on excel and word docs. This now allows me to edit and save in .doc, .xls, .docx. and similar MS formats to files on my Chromebook. It's well integrated into Chrome OS. I'll upgrade to 5 stars when more features are added. Bear in mind when working with this app you need to work out of Chromebooks "Files"app when opening documents, not Google Drive. It will automatically upload and save to Google drive from files though.
Perfect! Scheelt me downloaden. Zou wel fijn zijn als ik kon kiezen om het bestand alsnog op te slaan. Dat lijkt momenteel niet mogelijk. EDIT: Werkt sinds een tijd niet meer. Geeft Powerpoint presentaties en doc(x?) documenten niet meer weer.
No longer opening xlsx files
Worked well with Chrome 32 but crashes with Chrome 64.
