View and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files - without needing Office installed on your computer.

Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

Completely doesn't work. When I open a docx file from google drive I get "Whoops! We were unable to open the file you requested." Please help I have deadlines to meet.

it stopped working a few days ago. I need this for class. It used to automatically switch the Word Docs into Google Docs but now it won't and I need this for school.

Would give it five stars if there were a way to set the icons to the related document types (.doc and .docx to Google Docs icon, etc.) instead of them all having the chrome icon when we associate the extensions to chrome.

Не работает в Linux Mint 20.1 (браузер Chromium 88) Просто белый экран, если перетащить файл в браузер. То же самое при создании нового файла. Удалил расширение.

This can actually replace my office apps need, but in one of my pc it downloads instead of open the file I dragged in, while in others it correctly opens it. Can't find what's wrong with it yet.

Very testy system, when opening downloaded files on my ASUS Chromebook nothing would happen at all. Pretty useless if it doesnt work.
