Have used this app for years however I didn't appreciate the extension opening a webpage on my computer advertising AI business, however I see the dev comments in previous reviews - I'll trust it for now...

Opened a popup randomly for max.ai without warning. I had to re-add it to review it, should review the extension to make sure no actual malicious additions were added along with this.

Force opens a tab advertising max.ai extension. Was a great extension, but I've uninstalled immediately after forced pop-ups.

Edit: putting back to 5 stars from 1 star. I am a programmer myself and have messed things up before too, so I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that this was just a mistake. Nonetheless, I think this was a good reminder for all of us to be more aware of what extensions we let access our data. Thanks Ondra for your diligent replies, hope you weather the storm of bad reviews, the reddit post people saw is here btw: https://www.reddit.com/r/antivirus/comments/17f5vzz/what_is_max_ai_me_and_why_did_a_tab_of_it_pop_up/ Original 1 star comment: +1 on the Max.ai pop up thing. Great eye opener to do some clean up on my extensions, this one is first to go!
