Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!

Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.

Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///

Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.

Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Brings back most of the functionality of the old new tab page (it's missing multiple app pages, but oh well) while also accomplishing what Google is trying to do with the new one (without being awful) Even better, it allows the users to grant partial permissions based on what they want the extension to do and how much they trust it.

Running Windows Vista, but cannot get this extension to work. It has no effect. Yes, it is enabled. Any help would be great.

Jim - appreciate the hard work that has gone into this. Perfect extension. I would recommend this to all chrome users looking for a simple new tab - way better than the default new tab in chrome..

Absolutely great. Just ticks me off when after each update, it enables the cross browser sync and since the folder is different for my Chrome in each computer (work and home), I always need to change it back.

This app does what it needs to and also a bit more. The latter is not a plus per se. For some reason however, it uses a custom style for the apps tab by default. Also if used to redirect to a URL, opening a new tab does not highlight the full address bar, forcing you to CTRL+T, CTRL+A before you can actually type something in the bar of your new tab.

Perfect! Gives me exactly what I wanted, the apps page as my new-tabs page, instead of that miserable new tab page that Google was forcing us to use.
