Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Awesome extension.
I'm kind of just rating this extension 5-stars to counteract for the imbeciles who are rating this poorly and writing irrelevant reviews. It does exactly what it is designed to do and it does it well. Common misconceptions in the review section that I'd like to clear up: -This Extension did not install itself -This Extension is not mysteriously evading uninstallation. Just click the trash can in chrome://extensions. -This Extension's primary function is to avoid the New Tab page, not replace it. It is not meant to function IDENTICALLY to the new tab page, there are other extensions better suited for you if this is what you're looking for.
Google 应该自己添加一个设置选项来增加这个功能。

hi like new tab redirect, now it is not responding and interface is different from overview page...
This Extension recently brought half a million users to a full stop by displaying a new window that asked a user for more permissions. Any piece of software that disrupts use of Chrome by intruding upon normal activities, even momentarily, resembles a virus.
Good to have apps on the newtab page, but I very much dislike the URL bar setup. Clicking once on the url field appends typing to the text already there instead of replacing the url with your typing. If this were not the case I would update to 5 stars.
