This is the companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website (https://remotedesktop.google.com). This extension enables you to install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web UI.

Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files. All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

This was the ONLY option available to me due to work cracking down on remote access to/from our computers. I'm able to access my home PC as needed for a graphic software for certain items required until the company is able to purchase the software for me. (No RDP, no zoom, no this, nor that.) I've had no issues at all - I use the VP9 Codec (so my home pc does all the grunt work on my RTX3060 12G GPU). I also use it via Chrome (not Edge). You don't need a code to use this for those of you not reading the help files or understand how this app works. Just make sure you setup a passcode. The app runs in the background, and you use whatever outside PC and access the https://remotedesktop.google.com link to login. You click on the bottom of the page to Share Your Screen and that is what installs in the background. Your PCs will show up there and you just click which one you want to access, enter the code you gave it, and magically you have access.

me gusta como la app aprovecha la pantalla y que es mas intuitiva que el acceso directo, no he encontrado como quitar el cursor de pantalla utilizando el acceso directo, igual me gustaria que los bordes fueran negros y la flecha de opciones se pudiera ocultar pero a pesar de eso la uso más que la app por la fluidez.

Installs, does nothing, no option to launch or do anything to get required code for remote access. Removed and reinstalled, same. Online instructions are wrong. So far has negative utility, pure waste of time.
