With the Stream Recorder, you can easily save live and archived videos that are delivered in a typical HLS (m3u8) format.
Even more, if the video file type is in an mp4 format, you can record videos directly using the unique video capture function.
Downloaded audio and video data is converted to mp4 as it is with the same quality without re-encoding.
This conversion is done inside the extension, without the use of an external server.
Please note that Stream Recorder is not responsible for media content which you download, so we suggest to ensure the copyright and permissions of the media before downloading.

Wow! Nice work.
I love it, the way this extension is designed is astonishingly brilliant. on certain sites it works pretty well because it can automatically download even when I leave it , and that's the greatest up side for this extension (instead of the generic click and show style, I hated that) but when sometimes the download size gets to a certain size the browser would crash, but its sometimes its inconsistent. Sometimes I can have 10+gigs of downloaded content (VODs) and it wont crash. Other times when it get around a total of 7+gigs (This is when I use for the live stream, like actual live recording). It just sometimes crashes the browser At the same time I wonder if it matters on how much RAM the system have, I assume it doesn't because the cache are store in the drive and not the RAM (I could be wrong) Anything to fix this on my end?

Finally something that works with the annoying JW Player 8.8.2 hls streaming videos. Works perfectly where nothing else could. Thanks.
Works great on my older Macbook Pro. Got a new Macbook Air M1, installed latest Chrome and extension. Doesn't work. Will not record the stream in either normal or capture mode. Nothing happens. Same site, other Macbook, works. Same version of this extension on both: 1.3.5 and still nothing. Would love to have it working as I love this extension but disappointed it's not working on the M1 Macbook
